Care
-
Each de Yudasto piece is handcrafted from durable borosilicate glass, carefully annealed in a kiln for strength. However, glass is not indestructible. Please handle your jewelry with care to prevent accidental breakage.
-
Our earrings feature gold-plated brass and sterling silver findings. To maintain their luster and prevent tarnish, it's crucial to keep them dry.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while showering, swimming, or engaging in activities that may expose them to moisture.
Remove your jewelry before applying lotions, perfumes, or hairsprays, as these chemicals can react with the plating.
-
When not wearing your de Yudasto jewelry, we recommend storing it in the provided de Yudasto box.
For extra protection, especially during travel, wrap each piece individually in bubble wrap to prevent scratching or impact.
Store your boxed and wrapped jewelry in a safe place where it won't be easily knocked over or slide off a surface.
-
Remember, your de Yudasto jewelry is not plastic or metal. While beautiful and unique, it requires mindful handling.
Be cautious when placing your jewelry down. Avoid ledges or surfaces where it could easily slide or fall.

Repair
Let's Mend Your de Yudasto Treasure -
Our $50 Repair Service
As each de Yudasto piece is lovingly handcrafted by me, I understand how much they mean to you. If an accident happens, I'm here to help mend your treasured glass. Here's how our $50 repair service works:
Bringing Your Piece Back Home (or to My Studio):
If you live outside of our Brooklyn neighborhood, please carefully wrap your broken piece(s) and send them back to me. You'll just need to cover the shipping to get them here.
For my wonderful neighbors in Brooklyn, we can easily arrange a time for you to drop off your piece or for me to pick it up – whichever is easiest for you! Just reach out, and we'll coordinate.
My Studio Time:
I usually book time in my flameworking studio about twice a month. Once I have your piece, I'll aim to have it ready for you to pick up or ship back within 1-2 weeks. I'll be sure to let you know as soon as it's ready to come back to you.
The Magic of Remelting:
To bring your glass back together, I'll often need to gently remelt it. Since every de Yudasto creation is unique, I'll carefully work to restore it as close as possible to its original beauty. Trust that I'll pour my heart into making it whole again.
Strength from the Kiln:
Just like when I first created your piece, every repaired item will go through the annealing process in my kiln. This ensures it's strong and can handle the little bumps of life. This essential step is included in the $50 repair cost.
How to Start the Mend:
If your de Yudasto glass needs a little TLC, please send me a message with some photos of the damage. We can then chat about the best way to get it back to me. You can email me at angelicayudasto@gmail.com or send a DM to my instagram: @deyudasto .
A Little Note: While I'll do my very best to repair any breaks, sometimes glass can be too damaged to fully restore. I'll take a close look when it arrives and will always communicate with you honestly about the possibilities.
Thank you for trusting me with your de Yudasto pieces. I'm here to help keep them shining!
Warmly,
Angelica (de Yudasto)
