About

De Yudasto glass jewelry draws inspiration from the delicate petals of flowers, the graceful curves of leaves, and the fluidity of water. By infusing her pieces with nature’s elegance, Yudasto imbues the glass with a sense of harmony and timelessness, enhancing the wearer’s natural beauty.

About the Artist

Angelica Yudasto is an Indonesian-Peruvian artist who designs and creates glass jewelry as an extension of her art practice. The artist grew up in Indonesia and spent the rest of her formative years in Miami, both famed for their beautiful beaches and turquoise waters. Her love for the transient feel of water is evoked in the glass, giving the wearer a sense of elegance and harmony; the kind that can only found in the naturally occurring undulation of ocean waves.

Angelica is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

The Process

Angelica creates the glass pieces through an ancient technique called lampworking that dates back to 5th century B.C.E. The process involves carefully heating the glass using a flame torch until it is soft enough to be manipulated using hand movements. Angelica uses borosilicate glass, a material known for its strength and durability, making the jewelry more resistant to thermal shock than any common glass. Each piece is unique and differ slightly from each other, making them special one-of a kind pieces.
